Oh wow Mats.... I'm completely speechless and my sincerest condolences go out to you...
I thought my accident put me in a bad situation- I really hope to see one of your creations springing back to life soon!

Thanks.

I managed to salvage the Turbo manifold (the turbo was attached but it's just scrap) but I have nothing to use it on. Maybe I'll save it as a trophy or maybe I'll sell it for the right price.
At least it's throughly tested...

So sorry to hear about this Mats, I hope you get proper compensation and can get on with your Alfa-ing. What a shock to hear about this...

Oh shit - haven't been on for a while, and have only just seen this - my condolences Mats!
One of the Fiat guys here had something similar happen - the car he'd been driving and modifying for best part of 15years burnt to the ground (Except it was his fault, nearly took the house with it). He's moved on to something wilder now.
So, started on your next project?

Well...
I'm already knee deep in another project, but it's not Alfetta based so I'm not sure it's fitting to display here.

As long as it's not Volvo 240 with 900 bhp, we're ok with it.

It's ok - our new daily driver is a E61 530D - for a big heavy girl it shifts along pretty well...

Or an E46 330i ? E46 looks better than the E90.

Ah of course 2005, the obvious answer would be a E87 130i ....

it feels like they designed/build it with a 75 as role model

I'm a Berlina kind of guy, you should know that by now.
The car is actually black once out in the sun, it's one of those weird BMW Individual paints. It's loaded with Individual stuff like a lion yellow Dakota leather interior, Steering wheel/gearbox knob/handbrake handle, interior trim color, wheels.
Some unusual options include variable ratio steering rack, turning headlights, active cruise control, voice control, Professional sound system and Navigation.

Anyway, it's a newish car with some oomphf and comfortable enough to drive to the Ring without thinking twice about it. Expensive enough to not feel like a complete idiot when paying for the shocks and tires but inexpensive enough not to ruin me if I join The Bongard Club...
The E46 was my first choise but they are getting rare and old. Complete rust buckets too in case you didn't know.
Once I realized the E90 is only 15Kg heavier I knew that was the way to go. Plenty of parts available and a lot of the M3 bits from the chassie fits bolt on.

That's it really.

A couple of outside shorts as well... 8)

It's of course a Manual 6 speed without sunroof. Goes without saying really...
