Pretty sweet video....glorifying a pretty mundane car.
I dunno about you guys, but I'm not that amped up about the new Alfas.
I think the last modern Alfa I would want to own (based on what I've read about them) would be a 156 TS.

I can tell the difference between those who have seen and driven the new range, and those who have only read and looked at pictures of them.
grant, you most definitely fit in the latter category.
I can also tell that the second video was made using Windows Movie Maker and the host had only been reading as well..

Well, I have also driven the new cars and I don't feel anything for them. Especially the Brera that went from a beautiful Concept at the -02 Geneva show (I was there) to a useless FWD car with propotions only a mother can love. The 8C however went from a crappy concept (also Geneva -02) to a cool car.Rookie ROX wrote:I can tell the difference between those who have seen and driven the new range, and those who have only read and looked at pictures of them.

You're right, definitely haven't driven one. But I've read plenty of reviews. I also liked what I read about the 156.
The car really is too heavy to be a sports car isn't it? And where is the RWD? Alfa has deeper racing roots than BMW, why are the new Alfas so tame?

yep the 156 is a good car. It looks nice and is a hoot to drive. I drove a 156V6 and and 2.0 TS for a while, both were great. the V6 was very quick. The 2.0 ts was simply excellent, and by no means too heavy to be sporty, it handled very well and was fast, and did have that alfa passion feel about it, even though it was front wheel drive. I hear the 159 is very similar.
what is a potiac aztec? I drove a 6 month old pontiac grand prix for 3 weeks, and quite liked it. nice engine 3.8 v6 I think. handling was pretty good, though a little soft. styling was ok, not pretty, but then not particularly ugly either.
