Yes,the sound is excellent but both are low revving engines. They sound BIG.A Speed 12 at 10000rpm is something to behold, even a Lambo or Ferrari at 9000 is something ..... :D
French cars are shit and shit expensive to service and bloody awful and unreliable and expensive and friends don't let friends drive french cars and you wait years for parts.

Brian,

Don't you think the F430, in stock form sounds a little too 4-cylinderish? The F355 on the other hand sounds insane. F1 stuff!

V8? What can beat the F40 or possibly the FXX?? :x (FXX is borderline though as it's not really a streetcar)
V12, F50 for sure!

V10, Gallardo. Beats the silly sounding CGT any day - any time.

V6... Difficult that one (honest), Dino maybe?

I6, M3 CSL?

I4? are there any good sounding I4's? For sure not the S2000, possibly the E30 M3 (euro spec)

Was at an Italian Car Day where this bikie looking dude had an F 430 (Apparently he paid cash for it) and I happened to stand right next to it when he revved it hard just before taking off. Man, that was awesome and the ground literally shook. Fantastic sound!!!

Z, yes I agree the F355 sounds great too. The F 360 I'm not a fan of - I think it sounds too tinny......

Your right Mats how could I overlook the F40 for V8 sound.Especially when it pops and bangs on the overun. :D

BRM's V16 is one spine tingling sound. It was one of the featured sounds in a book Nick Mason co-authored a few years back.

Yeah, that's why it sounds so damn nasty. :)

I was at an event on Mantorp Park a few years back, F50, McL F1 and Diablo (to name a few) on track at the same time. No-one cared about anything other then the F50, jesus that thing sounded amazing.

BRM is hardly a production road car though. :P

V6 wise, I dont think anything comes close to the Honda NSX for sound. With a good exhaust the nsx sounds pure race breed :D
