Good game eh Mats

It was a pleasure seeing our lazy overpaid N.A.teams get sent packing by the passionate European teams.Hopefully one day Olympic hockey will return to using non-professional players the way it should be.

I'm not that into hockey personally but this was taken pretty badly over here.
I happened to watch 10 minutes and you definitely deserved the win.
Gongrats!

Thanks.
Not like the Finns were bad or anything, in fact I
know that really everybody in Sweden and Finland wanted this final. It's a classic showdown and a lot of emotion/passion going on. Historically though, Sweden have always been the ones winning, except once when Finland won but then they had a Swedish coach...
Not once but
two times had Finland been in the lead by 4-2 with one minute remaining only to see the Swedes score three times in a minute.
Anyway, fantastic game.

Here they show it taped so I was swearing at Mats when I innoncently checked gtv6.com this morning for Alfa stuff (before they showed the game)

Anyway, got busy with Alfa things today anyway, and didn't get to watch it, so not that upset.
Having grown up being a big fan of Swedish hockey - Congrats Mats! I recall watching many hockey world cups on TV growing up.
Still confused why their coach, Bengt Aake Gustafson I think it is, would make that silly comment before the Swiss game. Wasn't he on the Swedish world cup champions team sometime in the 80s?

Speakin of Swedish achievements; the latest issue of Sport Auto has the Koenigsegg in test. 7'34 at the Ring! (only 2 sec slower than the Carrera GT)
New speed record on Döttinger Höhe with 313 km/h. Not bad for a 395 km/h "show car".
To keep this even slightly Alfa related the also tested the Alfa Brera 3.2 Q4 in a snow comparison. It managed quite good (2nd fastest in snow handling after the R32 Golf).

Jes: Bengt-Åke Gustafsson. What was the comment?
He has been on the national team for a lot of years and have won his share of championchips, and now as a coach.
Sorry about the spoiler...
Baz: There is a league down there? haha! I guess it's not more weird then having a team in Arizona, Florida or California though.
Micke: Was that the CC-R? You know they have a new one now right? The CC-X. More power and I think lighter...
Not bad for a chicken farmer.

Sorry but just about all the olympic hockey players play in that overpaid N.A. league. Including both the Swedish and Finnish teams. They played better and deserved to win. I don't read anymore to it than that. Congrats to Sweden.

Well, not all of the Swedish team is from the NHL, I'm not sure even 1/4 is palying in the NHL but one player isn't even in the top division in Sweden, he's going back to his team now and are going to qualify for the top division. haha.
If we are going that route lots of players in other teams has played in Sweden including Swiss, slovak, czech, finnish, American anc Canadian players.

Jes: Bengt-Åke Gustafsson. What was the comment?
It wasn't before the Swiss game, sorry, but related to that. Before the last game in the group play, against Slovakia, I think, he said it may be advantageous for Sweden to loose so that they would face the Swiss team in the quarter finals. Think they lost to Slovakia by 3-0. I'm pretty sure they didn't loose un purpose, but his comment surely caused some raised eye-brows... I just kept my fingers crossed they wouldn't loose to the Swiss team in the quarters since everyone would have laughed at them and think they got what they deserved. Anyway, great accomplishment for Sweden, and Finland as well! Teemu Salanne is like re-born this year.

Yeah, that wasn't really popular over here either, man I was angry during that game.

Slightly OT but Teemu Selänne is a big time car freak. He did a lot of rallyes and I recall he planned to do the 24h of the Ring as well. Don't remember if it worked out or not. He doesn't use his right name so it can be hard to tell.
He has the only Enzo "in Finland" as well.

Also in favor of sweden went the women's mass start in biathalon. I enjoyed it because I like watcheing the Germans get it
I am also high on Sweden because my friends on the US nordic team have been doing much time with the Swede womens team

Lucky bastards.
Also Sweden provided the best line of the Olympics: Winning the gold is ¨like sleeping with a girl for the first time."
