I just came back from our local aflisti spot. My GTV6 and The brand new Brera (just covered 300 km!) I think that such contrast can be quite interesting. The photos speak pretty well for themselves. What do you think?

Well, in spite of the fact that the Brera is a beautifull car,
the GTV6 still look much nicer to MY eyes !

You can really see the "family" resemblance.

And both are beautiful!

Well, we didn't actually compare the performance of both cars, but Breras' "razor-sharp" responsive steering, good suspension shows really some progress that alfa has done in this area. But when it came to compare the sound of my 2,5 v6 with's breras engine, my car was a total overkiller  This pictures make me wondering about what will alfa show us in next 20 years :?:

Is that right outside the track? Or is it a football stadium? I recognize the "Poznan" as a track name...
Any pics of track action? :)

New Alfas always look mongoloid in pictures, you need to see them in the flesh.

Actually it's on statium's parking lot. Unfortunately (or rather fortunately) PoznaƄ race track is now closed. They are stripping-off the old tarmac, and putting new asphalt with a lot better traction coefficient, widening the track, doing some job on the curves etc. AFAIK they wanted to comply with winder range of FIA regulations so the track can hold much more prestigious events. Mat's, have you ever been on our track? I know that lots of Swedish drivers come here to race.

They're rebuilding it?
There is a race scheduled there 9-12 Aug in one of the Swedish Endurance racing series... :?

I haven't been there but it would definetly be interesting to drive it!

Can't help thinkng it looks like the Lancia Delta Integrale based "Zagato Hyena".
FWD? oh, the humanity.

Sound wise, I think even the 156 V6 can't compare with the 155 V6. Funny isn't it, in this case, both are busso V6s.

But due to the newer cars being severly muffled (euro sound laws?), the sound is just lost! That is true for both the intake and exhaust.

Just listen to the E46 M3 vs. E36 M3. Stock for stock, E46 M3 sounds terrible. Like some metallic buzzing noise from the exhaust.

Original Alfa 24V in 2006?

How is it going to be competitive with no variable anything?Would probably fail new euro standards.

I think the reality is that the original Alfa V6 engine just doesn't cut it anymore. At least Alfa just didn't buy the whole lump without some of it's own engineering know how in there. The busso 24V is now only good for hobbyists like us.

But just think about it, no more cheap liner seals to leak, timing belt to snap, tensioner to break and bend all valves, man this could be a good thing!!! Heck where are my standard Alfa pistons? Not in the engine.

Still sad about the looks of engine though. Looks so plain!

Lol, you don't know what you are saying Z, the Holden V6 is far from anything Alfa.

I pray to the Alfa gods that Alfa manage to do something decent with that shitty GM engine. Don't get your hopes up.
