Historic Plates

I am trying to secure Historic plates for my 1985 GTV-6 in Maryland, USA. I have evidence that this has been done before and all the necessary forms. What I lack is "supporting documentation verified by the manufacturer" that the car is one of 1,000 or fewer. There is a document on the first page of alfagtv6.com, on the left side under the technical tab titled "Specs" that apparently comes from Autocar. I am willing to send this in to the Motor Vehicle office but it technically is not from the manufacturer. I tried contacting the ARI Liason (Alfa Owners Club US liason to Italy??) Delmas Greene with no success. Any ideas how I can get production numbers from Alfa?
