Well Mats, when it comes on boost you can hear all the wastegate bypass air come screaming out of the factory screamer pipe

Yeah baby!

Jules,

Did you see the Best Motoring video of Porsches (993 RUF, 993 GT2, 993 C2, etc) vs. Ferraris (F355, F40, F50)? The F40 kept up with the F50 just fine, and the porsches were left quite a fair bit behind. A little more boost and it would probably dusted the F50. Such a beast!

all i have to say is dammmmmmmn, BABY! that was a screamer.....don't know if the dyno was made to do those rpms!!

Notice that it did sound like Brian Bergers Alfa...just with more cylinders!

And watch the humans cowering in the background!

Yeah Brian Berger's and Paul Kretzas' turbo fours are a constant source of drool and inspiration to me.

They sound like angry original engined cars, and they go harder than many 16v modern japanese counterparts.

there is also this link for the curious

http://www.f40.co.nz/f40/index.htm

Would've made a nice home for a TT 3.7 or a TT F355 V8....

until I read the bottom of the page...

What does that mean "not going to build more cars"? Is that one of those Lexus powered home made cars? :?

yep.

You can see it in the roof- it doesnt quite look right.

He built it about five yeas ago- there used to be a buildup progression showing the frame, and susp. and shock mounting and engine work.

Its a pity- that's half the price of an actual F40....

That's why it doesn't sound quite right then. :?

for the home built...Still though, nice work in the engine bay.....for all the effort, he might have been better off designing his own supercar......

for MATS: you don't need to hear it if you can picture the sound of forty women all having a screaming orgasm at the same time........
