An inline 4 doesn't need much of counterweights. Also notice the hollow throws on the crank.
Look at the valve seats. Neat color. 5 points question; what matherial are they?

Also, someone once told me that copper-beryllium can be used for piston rings but I have never been able to verify this. Have you ever heard of such a thing?

Found my own answer (yes Cu/Be is used as exhaust valve seats mostly for thermal conductivity reasons).

my favorite pic is holow crank lot less rotating mass, how do they cross drill oil pasages
