For those South African GTV6'ers who may not yet be aware, the 28th of April is the National Alfa Day at Kyalamy. To participate in the track sessions you need to belong to an Alfa Club first off and then pay a fee of R200.There will be both a fast and slow session to accomodate varying skill levels.

Kevin is very keen to get as many GTV6's to participate in this event. All the required forms for registration can be found at http://www.arcsa.co.za/

I will be there driving my new 3.6 litre 24 valve built for me by my good friend Barry. To say I am excited at the prospect would be a huge understatement. :D

By the way, enteries are limited to 120 for the track day and registration closes at the end of March so hurry.

Should be a great day and weekend. I will have four GTV's there including the new 3.7 24v. It will be nice to do a top speed comparison at the end of the 'straight' between them starting from stock standard 2.5 , standard 3.0l carb, 'modified' 3.2 24v and the 3.7L. Only problem is that the 3.7l has different ratios to the others.
Look forward to seen you there . Also there is a Alfa Trofeo race in two weeks at Wesbank.

Just to let you guy's know the Alfa National Day at Kyalamy was a huge success. For my part I owe Kevin a major 'Thank you' for getting me into the track day portion of the day. :D

This might sound like one of those really cheasy crappy Oscar speech's but Barry must recieve major thanks from yours trully for having my beloved GTV6 ready for this day.The poor bloke took some major strain getting my car ready for me but as he promissed, the smile on my face when I opened her up on the track was something to behold...The sound and power of this 3.6 when it's chasing down 7000rpms is just amazing. :D

Jacques took some great photo's and a video clip which I hope to have posted by next week.

The Friday before I got to have one of those robot to robot dices with a new BMW 545i with the full on body kit.I was two up and he was alone. We started next to each other with a clear run of just over 400 meters to the next light and zero cars. Got my pull off just spot on with only a small amount of wheel spin before banging into the rev limiter.Hooked second and was already pulling away.By the end of 3rd gear I had an easy 2 car length gap opened to him... :D You would need surgery to remove the stupid grin off my face after that.
