How difficult or expensive will be to put an Alfa v6 in?

I think that the main problem is the Porsche Gearbox.

Ideas?

Custom flywheeland an adapter plate, done.

Question is (oooh, they're going to stone me for this one), why would you want an Alfa engine in it? Maybe buy an engine with some power?

Damn, yea! If you can find one already..
The v8 is excellent though..Audi probably make the best little v8 out at the moment.
Seen the specs on the new M3 v8..Almost identical to Audi.Any v8 at 8200rpm is good in my book.. 8)

Haha not if its from a Holden, because it would be on the brink of exploding.

B,Thats why the new generation motors are so good.Although, having said that, one of the most awesome sounds ever was watching 29 Nascar v8 cars at Indy all revving to 9000 rpm..It was goose flesh time, let me tell you... :D

Yeah the new M3 V8 looks pretty sweet. They do an awful lot of bragging about the ion-sensing knock system though, that's been on the Saab engines for 15 years or so...

For a V8 I'd ask my boss, he builds his own engines, races ProMod. ~1600Hp +800Hp gas. That would probably take care of the trafic light performance part.

I like V6 alfa engines, lovely sound and i know supercharged GTAs (novitec) with 348cv and 375cv (enough...)

I don“t like the V8 sound.

That be pretty good with a 3.7 24v TT in it.

Forget about V8s then.

Couple'a puffs of black smoke, up on boost, then:

Gone.

In terms of either absolute power or power for the amount of money spent it's very tough to beat the American V8s. That said, I still like the Alfa V6 better.

You're right Greg. Value for money. But make a flat plane crank for it and then its expensive enough to fit the car.
That terrible Yank burble would be gone too.

I guess the ultimate engines would be an F40 or an F50 engine though. 8)
