Well...for those of you who did not see it, there was listed today on ebay and Alfa Montreal with mint looking rebuilt engine and the usual light wear on the seats and was repainted as well.
Anyway...price was 4900$ buy it now!!!!! I almost sh*t my pants and started making some call around to see if any of my family members could spot some green for a few days..
Well, I went to buy it a few minutes ago (6pm East US time) and it was already gone....maybe someone bought it or mayber the seller realized he left a zero off the price...??????????
If I could kick myself any harder I would......

What a pity as they are real beauties. Friend of mine i work with has just finished restoring his montreal. Its going to be entered into our concorso d'eleganza this year. It should do very well. He battled a bit with the injection but he now has it perfectly set up. They were air leaks in the vacuum hoses which lower and raise the headlights which affected ,i think cylinder six which it takes its vacuum off. Heres is a pic of the engine bay. X-rad look what you could of had

Reason why it has oddball timing is that it's basically two 4 cylinders banged together to make a "V8"..make of that what you will. I find this a very polarizing car. You either love'em or you just keep walking.
Personally I am not moved one way or another.

thanks for the rub in Kevin.....I am pretty sure the car was in Connecticut USA so we may see it again....even the guys over on AlfaBB were talking about the insane price/scam?!
as for looks...not one of my favorite Alfa designs...but still has some looks i find attractive even 36 yrs later
And I think I would love the sound of a V8 Alfa
Anyone have a good long sound/video clip from a Montreal??
