anyway: have the Alfa on ebay. Apparently, no one believes it's a 1985 GTV6. You will get a kick out of their questions and my answers......

That's one of the main reasons i dislike selling alfa parts. Just because the bumper has been changed and rear tail lights. Everyone seems to get their panties all ruffled up. Specially the guys who claim to be true alfistas.

I personally inspected that car when Steve Moon had it at a car show in Texas. IT IS A GTV6! Anyone who says it's an Alfetta is wrong.

If I may...What tells me that its an Alfetta GT is the rear fender vents,GTV6 ones will fit,but leave a gap on the front side which will be open. The plastic section is shorter than the older steel vent covers..The slats also say GT and not Strada Coupe`..
Next give away is the chrome look Stainless window trim..All gvt6 trim is black.
The other GT/Strada Coupe` parts are not indicative of the car being a GT/Strada/GTV6..These are interchangeable without modification..

and what distinctly tells me its a GTV6 is the front lower grill valence !!
Thats GTV6 and difficult to change as it takes 2 x front fenders and the valence off a GTV6 to do.
Much easier to fill the little gap for the rear vents..
My take?? GTV6 !

and finally the lower rear valence and bumper mounts..GTV6 for sure.
Why all the older parts on the car ?

The slat vents are actually aluminum and quite a bit lighter then the "GTV" version.

I have changed my mind, it's actually an E-Type Jag, this is clearly evident from the slats on the hood.

Why its definately a GTV 6 (from a South African view) , firstly the front air vents are impossible to change without major surgery, has full rubber beading around both front and back windscreens. All out gt had chrome beading with a slightly larger windscreen which did not fit in our later models. There were a combination of chrome and rubber on the last GT's. Its to easy to put other rear vents in and trim the beading channel off. My black beading around windows on one of cars peeled off to show the chrome beading. Front valence can only be chainged with front fenders and lower cradle and this is GTV6.(Baz said). Fuel tank in corect pos, battery etc
Some one some time went to a bit of effort to chainge rear vents and beeding to give an impression of a gt from the rear.

You guys are so f*kin funny...hahaha
It really is a Yugo!!!...i was just tryin to sell it as a GTV6...
NAHHHHH...JUST KIDDIN!!!!
Definitely a GTV6. Body work done to trim up rear rain gutters. Chrome added. I actually had some of the chrome off. A lot of work but better looking in my opinion. Vents are cast pot metal..maybe with some aluminum. NO DOUBT a GTV6.
I did not know that you personally knew this Alfa GG!

It was Steve Moon's from Texas...and before that some person in New Jersey owned it. Most of the work was done by the time Steve bought it. I think it originally came from Algar in pennsylvania.
DAMN, I am so happy it did not sell. I would have really missed this forum!!!
At least now I can say to my wife that I tried..and now I have to keep it!!!!

Already have plans for a full paint job...5000$ down to metal..top and bottom. I like Farrari red!!!

Ferrari?
It's not a Ferrari, dude. I'm quite sure of that.
Stick to the GTV-6 story while you're ahead.
Smile.
