Garth,

I know you like the power, and I do too. But I'm sort of like Jules now. I love revs!!!! And the GT3 has loads of revs!!! Well this side of any Ferrari at least.... That's why I won't do any forced fed stuff now, I like the intake roar, and the compressor will just mute most of it.

Back to the ring, next year....hmmm...tempting....

Hey Zamani, forgive me if i'm wrong, but i thought the GT3's redlined at 6,400rpm..?

Because of the torque there is simply no need to rev them higher..?

Mine redlines at 7,000, and with the turbo i've never had the need to rev it that far, the torque is just incredible, she weighs less than 1150 now...

But yeah i must admit i do miss that N/A roar, but then i had that for over 8-9 years, so loving the boosted sound and i dont think i'll ever tire of it...

Don't know what GT3 you refer to. The one I drove - 1st gen 996 - 360 hp) -had a redline at 7½ and revved to 8200 (not in sixth :( ).
This was a road car from a rental company and though I've driven some race cars none was as good as this one.

Too bad it sounds like they rev 3000rpm at 8500 though.

Was refering to a porsche GT3 that i read about in a motor magazine, but like porsche they have so many variables, and i was refering a turbo porsche, not an N/A one thanks.
And why does a road car from a rental company have a racelogic data logger on the dash, i'm abit suss here...

The GT3 are all NA. At least where they are built. GT2 are turbos.

I used the car for testing and mounted the needed instrumentation.
