OK so I was a bit board.

Width of an Alfa 75: 1.66 metres.
Height of an Alfa: 1.4 metres.
Frontal area of an Alfa 75: 2.324 square metres.

At 110km/hr you travel 30.56 metres/second.

At 110km/hr, a 75 dispaces about 71.02 cubic metres of air every second. That's 71021.44 litres of air per second. 255677184 litres of air displaced in 1 hour @ 110km/hr.

From the ever reliable intrawebz, I found out that air at sea level on a 25*C day weighs 1.18Kg/cubic metre.

So at 110km/hr, a 75 moves 83.804Kg of air out of the way every second. Or 301692.96 of air every hour........ :o

Appoximate width of my Toyota MR2: 1.6 metres.
Approximate height of my Toyota MR2: 1.2 metres.
Approximate frontal area of my Toyota MR2: 1.92 square metres.

At 110km/hr you travel 30.56 metres/second.

At 110km/hr, my MR2 dispaces about 58.67 cubic metres of air every second. That's 58666.67 litres of air per second. 211200000 litres of air displaced in 1 hour @ 110km/hr.

So at 110km/hr, my MR2 moves 69.23Kg of air out of the way every second. Or 249230.16Kg of air every hour........ :o

And that's why aerodynamics is so important.

And I'm not going to check your figures. :)

Hey Duk-one. That's not necessarily true. I tried weighing a fart once- you know the type, a true blue soup cooler but it would sit on the scales..
