It was the first professional win for Alfa in the USA since a Tipo 33/TT12 won at Watkins Glen in 1975 piloted by Henri Pescarolo and Derek Bell.

Alfa wins again. This time at Road Atlanta on November 12, 2021.

This time we only had to wait three months and not 46 years for the next win.

Didn’t realize it was a stock Alfa 1750 with custom headers and an AMG turbo. Impressive to say the least.

While Alfa spends its money on F1 it completely neglects this segment, which is very successful with numerous poles, podiums and wins.

Stretching the subject matter a tad, I think Alfa should take a leaf out of the Alfaholics approach and rebuild the GTV6 with a better transaxle and shifting together with a torque tube and pump up the 24valve Busso with upgraded brakes etc. Just make a decent job of it.

Oh look who is back! :wall:

I think BMW Classic group does this for BMW. But don’t expect that from Alfa, they don’t even support current cars properly.

Hey Good Buddy.
Maybe the door has opened just a tiny bit but in the unobtainium sector. Looking at the somewhat retro inspiration of the 33 Stradale and the new one spawned from it, it is an undeniable effort at precisely what I am saying Alfa should be doing. Whether it is a modern remake of the 105 series or the 116 I don't give a rat's. As long as they do not follow the pattern set by BMW when replicating the "Mini" What a disgrace!! The most bloated lard arse "Mini" I've ever seen. Total joke.

As for you fella, you better be on you good behaviour on this Forum as I have good connections with your barber. He's been known to give people a very close shave in the nether region.

Maybe there will be a transaxle renaissance for this dying breed. The 105 cars have all the love. The 116/161 not so much. I guess OKTech and CSR are some good examples of companies supporting these cars, but we have nothing to match the likes of Porsche’s Singer and the likes.

As for my barber, I’ve heard that he can “inject a sense of femininity” in some blokes by making some “mistakes”. Big muscular types go in only to come out behaving like Barbie.
