Here are a couple of pics from the show on Sunday. It was a great turn out. As the theme of this years on Concours was the GTV display we had fourteen GTV 3.0l, Ten 2.5's and six 2.0l's. Good to see everyone there including the creator of the GTV3.0l(Sampie Bosman , telling us how he spent hours making the bonnet mould out of clay getting the right shape to fit over the carbs and other racing stories regarding this car), Dawie De Villiiers, Barry, Fernando, Carel, Jaques , Paulo and others.

Yea,Kev,thanks mate........When I arrived I saw a parking space right at the closest entrance in amongst a hundred cars parked there.I promptly parked my car in the kiddies sandpit--flat on the chassis...What an entrance..thanks to the guys who picked my car out of a 2ft deep sandpit...........

Looks great!!! Sorry I couldn't make it, but the engine has to grow, and it's in peices in Barry's laboratory.

Barry, take a leaf out of my book, and walk - it's safer when it comes to getting through sandpits.

Thanks for a fun day Kevin. We went through in a convoy of 4 GTV's,namely Carel,my brother,my girlfriend and myself.

Had to ask Kevin if I could forgo putting up a name plate indicating that my GTV6 is in fact now a 3.5 litre as my unsuspecting girlfriend thinks I just have a well tuned 3.0 litre.Long story guys.

Anyway she is now the proud owner of an 85 GTV6 2.5.She did complain that her 2.5 doesn't quite have the pull in 4th gear that mine does....

The guys at the car wash were quite taken aback at seeing 4 GTV's in one place I can tell you.

My favourite car of the day was the Autodelta 3.5 right hand drive SZ. :D

Barry, what's this I hear about your parking abilities...? At least you went there in an Alfa (I was crammed in the back of and Isuzu KB 320 double cab (you saw the size of my boet, Gerrie de Villiers and my nephew.....) 4 heavy weights...

As a side-note; that Gerhard (Gerrie) de Villiers guy (no relation to Dawie) was some hot navigator in his day. Ran BDA Escorts, Skylines during the heyday of Sarel's career...

Naturally Dawie and his wife and Wikus in the GTA forgot that we were short some horses and long some kilos - so it was hard keeping up on the way there...

Kevin, sorry I did not recognise you at first behind the shades... Nice job putting the day together!

Hamish, I thought that we would connect there somewhere... Sorry about the 156 not running.
