:D :D Gees Z,So did you mate...had to go back to see yer post....

Zman, every engine has its own optimum timing setup..We can biuld 2 identical spec engines and they will probably run the same with the same ign/fuel setup..One of them will shine with some additional settings and adjustments..

You say 10 whp with 1 deg??Ive always said your curve is too pessimistic at 23/24 deg all in..Im running 32 deg on my 30l..Its very stock at the moment..You realy need to get to a dyno or have a pot whereby you can adjust timing on the run..
I have 2..1x for ign,1x for fuel..Om my motor I can dail in timing to such an extent that I can feel when the power trails off..This is normally done at 3/4 opening as I cannot hear detonation at w.o.t.(although I have once ,bloody Bmw on my tail..strange how you grab for more fuel and timing here...)
Have you tried more advance??I can only reccomend trying it,I have no idea of what your optimum settings will be..yous gotta play dude!!! :D
