Permatex copper spray-a-gasket

Post by AlfaBeta »

Hi gang,

I heard of some people using a spray sealant on head gaskets made by Permatex called copper spray-a-gasket. Does anyone have any experience with this? Was just wondering if it could (or should) be used for the Alfa V6 headgaskets.

thanks

No,I would not use it on Reinz or similar headgaskets..These headgaskets are top quality and have been developed to be used as is..

French cars are shit and shit expensive to service and bloody awful and unreliable and expensive and friends don't let friends drive french cars and you wait years for parts.

Hi Barry,

Thanks for the reply. Other than additional sealing capability I guess the product is more used to limit "hot spots" around the combustion area by providing a higher conductive path (copper is very good at conducting heat). I just wasn't sure if anyone has ever used it before.

thanks
