My GTV6 has recently developed engine cutouts. Usually while slowing for a stop or pulling away from one. Occasionally it occurs while driving at speed. In many cases I can disengage the gear coast and restart the motor while rolling. All this occurs in less than a minute. The motor electical connections appear to be intact. All I found were very loose connections to the coil. The fitting for a hose connected to the intake plenum is loose and doesn't seal. I was wondering if this may be the culprit. Any suggestion as to what may be the casue?
Since the car has been driven relatively little for the past few years. And sat for much of of the time, I'm also suspecting the fuel filter and pump.
Re: Engine Cutout
Get car running , bonnet open and wiggle the connector on the temp sensor on the thermostat housing .. usually one of three problems .
