I'm wondering if that is the car that put down over 250hp at the wheels @ 8000 rpm in the chart below.
I'd still like to know more about some of the "factory" engines with bigger hp numbers than the standard stuff we all have.

Daniel,

Do you know of a Mr. David Crump? I dug up an old email from him. He has a stock 3.0 24V with autronic and a couple of Beninca goodies, 232 rwhp. Only has headers, modified GTV6 runners and plenum and Autronic.

OK I thought, Beninca's dyno could be optimistic but Joe Beninca told me a stock 2.5 V6 makes about 130 rwhp on his dyno. That is believable since I've seen anywhere from 125-135 on DIFFERENT dynos (which really doesn't mean much) BUT it gives you a good idea what to expect. For example if Joe B. said stock 2.5 V6 makes 165 rwhp, I would be very suspicious.

Actually there are a lot of dyno reading from Beninca's dyno on the web. Toyotas, Hondas, Pugs, etc so it gives you a good idea of power figures which Alfa quotes compared to other makes and how it relates to his specific dyno.

Now for the 24V which you have on the chart, most likely from A. Goodall (spelling?) car. Don't know him personally or even through email though.

In fact I saw that Mr. Crump wants to sell his RWD converted 24V with extractors, plenum, Autronic and harness (back in October-ish? 2006). Don't know if it is still available.

alan goddall is also selling his 24v complete with everything ready to bolt into a gtv6. i have seen the crump engine for sale also.

i too use full throttle shifts on my turbo 3 litre, basically no lag watsever between gearshifts as the butterfly is always open. not to mention lightning fast shifts.

Patzo,

I wonder how one can get 232 rwhp, EVEN with autronic and headers and plenum/runners.

im not 100 percent sure on that z man. havent seen that one on the dyno before so cant comment on what i have not seen. 237rwhp with plenum and ecu sounds a bit high yes..are u sure maybe nothing else hasnt been done maybe a quick email to him to ask will let u know. not even sure if benincas did the work or supplied the parts to be honest. watever it is benincas dyno is pretty conservative and if he made 237rwhp then id say it is genuine. to put this into perspective my low boost on 13 psi making 220ish rwkw, was equal to a friends 4litre ford turbo ( for u aussies, a typhoon) 280 rwkw that he made on another tuners dyno. taking the weight factor away from it ...after 150-ishkm/h the cars accelerate dead equal with a slight edge to the alfa. now would u say my car has 280rwkw or 220 rwkw on 13psi??? id say 220

p.s to 150 its like chalk and cheese between the 2 with only 1000kilos to push around.

p.p.s from what i have seen standard 24v make around 180 fwhp or 130 fwkw which seems to be about right. and on the last dyno days gta's were making 200fwhp or there abouts.

1700kg but like i said when comparing from around about 150km/h on the highway and both accelerating from that speed weight is not so much a factor.
