When I asked Beninca about doing this (from seing another install done the same way) his answer was do not do this modification, you will lose power from it, approx 5-8hp.
Now, is Beninca silly ? Does he not have sufficient experience in Alfa Romeo modifications ? How many other NA intake manifolds have you seen that have a 180deg bend in the intake tract facing this way ?

I´ll try this for now to get the engine started. For the future I´m planning on bulding my own plenumchamber for the car.
This will do for now! having another 180 made at the moment.
I´ll keep U posted as soon as anything new happens.

seb, how did u manage to paint the silver parts on ur rocker covers..i resently painted my covers red and was thinking to do the same thing but didnt want to risk ruining the new paint by painting the silver bits with a brush. a bit of a silly question perhaps but these days i dont have much left to do on my car so i guess im just playing around with the little fiddly bits.

My 180 bend in finallt done! It´s TIG-welded and this time it works and fits great.
Now I can continue building the air intake and the rest of the stuff needed, new throttle wire since the intake is in another place as original.
A few pics.
