Hi Maurizio, yes thats Ron's (see bottom of graph for credit)
Solenoid operated valves are nice but all manufacturers are waiting for the move to 42v systems to realize. Many already have tested and working prototypes and are just waiting for the new system! It was originally planned for 2004-2005 industry-wide but didn't happen. That would solve Zamani's smog problems!

Hi Jim!

I was wondering if you will find out how to optimize the original plenum from the 116-cars V6s? I'm building a larger intake runners, same lengt as original, but I don't know what ID I would ues. 41mm or 46mm? Any graph for this? =)

Also how to improve the plenum in a simple way. I'm thinking of cutting it half and grind it smoother on the inside and/or make it narrower at the front..?

Any graphs? ;)

Jema,

Take a look at the post called "3.0L 12V rebuil and GTV6 conversion" in the
engine section and you'll see how to beautifully modify the plenum.

I have no connection whatsoever or knowledge of book distribution anywhere, but I know it will be available in many places by the end of this month. As to where it goes first and where last, your best bet is to ask your local automotive books store. They should be able to contact the publisher and find out the details and/or place orders.
I'd really like to know when MY copies will get here! I am understandably curious!

You should be able to order either of JK's books when they are published from here:

http://www.veloce.co.uk/shop/products/p ... group=Cars

The 4 cylinder book is out now and it's called:

The Alfa Romeo DOHC Engine High-perfomance Manual

(SpeedPro) Current Price: £ 19.99. plus postage.

I suggest you access the site and register for a notification when the V6 book comes out. (Tentative December 2006)

That's how I purchased my 4 cylinder copy.

(Hope it's not in Greek :D )
(Knowing Jim, it's probably got a hot cam centrefold in Brail :D )

Apologies for earlier typo.

Yeah well, when you're done reading, maybe you can send it to me too, as I haven't heard anything yet officially from Veloce! :x

I dunno Jim, your book has got me in the doodoo already.

First even the idea of it gives you typingitis and causes spelling and grammar blindness especially on the web so everybody on the planet knows you're a bird brain. Then, it gets you in trouble at home cause it sticks to your fingers wherever you go and the missus needs to slap you on the back of the head to get your attention.

It's the best explanation I have for that wear spot on the cranium! :D

Can't believe the service though. Must be some sort of international trading record. I got my book within 4 days of paying for it on the net. That's UK to Oz. Unbelievable service!

I must be the first kid on the block in Oz to have a copy.

Hey Bernie, if you wanna squiz, rock on down...
