Is the fiat croma and the lancia thema 2.5ltr v6 the same as the 2.5ltr alfa v6 as i can get on real cheap. I priced a 24valve alfa 156 2.5ltr a while back and it was $3300 Nz with computer and loom which i still thought wasn't bad.

What sort of money in oz do you pay for a 12valve 3ltr? or one of the latter 24valve engines?

I scored a 2.5 with broken rod and a runner 3.0 out of ChCh for $600. What are you looking at doing with it?

That sounds real reasonable

Im in christchurch. Theres a guy out loburn way that has heaps of fiats. Lots of pretty odd ones to like montecarlo's, 128 sport ralle 124 ac plus alot of others. He has about 6 v6 just sitting there. Im looking at building a turboe'd six and shoehorning it into my fiat 124 sport. Just trying to work out which engine to deicide on first, wether a 2.5/3ltr 12valve or hang back and try and source a latter model 24valve.

I know the guys at 124turbo.com reckon a well ported 2ltr 8 valve is just as competitive up to 350hp. with a 2ltr 16 valve. Makes me wonder if the difference are similar with the alfa 12valve v's a 24valve if turboe'd

The current engine in the 124 is a 150hp 132 2lr that i just sold. been put into a lada 2105, lol should make a pretty scary machine.

I thought the V6 engines in the old Thema's where 2.8 litres, not 2.5?

The newer thema's got 3.0, and that's basically the same engine as the 3.0 Alfa (from Alfa 164). Alfa got another head though.

Chrickie! Sounds like a project. How much room have you got to play with? Do Fiat/ Lancia v6s have the transaxle configuration? Bell housing could be a mish. Let us know how you are progrssing. :?:
