Camshaft advice?

Hi,

I'm rebuilding my 2.5 along with a total restoration of the car - this far the crank and rods are polished and weight-balanced, all new internals, head/valve-work, JE pistons 10.5:1 ++. Only thing missing now are cams and valve-springs - not sure what to pick... One thought is C&B stradale massimo cams but I see Cat Cams also have some to offer- see www.catcams.com - they also have valve springs.

So what would you guys advice? The car will only be driven on weekends during summertime - and an occasional long trip and maybe a couple of laps on a track... I do like revvy engines - but would like to maintain some torque lower down (under 4000 rpms)

Any thought around this would be appreciated.

Go for Arricambi V6 springs and Motronic (or 'S' as many call them) cams. They're much better than stock 2.5 cams, will go to just under 7000rpm and have excellent idle and good emissions.

Thanks Jim!

But aren't the S/SZ cams a bit too "nice"? Have a couple of friends with those cams both in 2.5 and 3.0 and think I could be happy with a profile that is just a bit more on the aggressive side :) How are those compared to the cams that Cat Cams offer?

Where can I get the Arricambi springs? AR Ricambi I guess?
