Timing Check

Is there any way to check that the timing belt hasn't skipped any teeth?

I was putting the transmission back in and ended up turning the drive shaft both ways before I realized that I shouldn't have done it. I'll rest easier starting the engine after I've confirmed that it's correct. Thank you!

Carson the simplest way is to get your crank pulley to TDC and then remove the two round plastic covers in front of the camshaft pulleys.There are pointers which should line up with marks on the face of the pulleys,
