OK..here is the problem again:

Sometimes the car runs great..hot or cold...best after startup..can do a few miles full power and full revs

BUT: more often than not it feels like I am running on 1/3 less power. Felt like no spark to certain cylinders...sometimes after hard turn woul;d notice problem

I can rev to 3000 no problem..then loss of power...then kicks back in at full power at 5000 and up....

HERE IS WHAT HAS BEEN DONE:
New fuel pump
new rotor
New dizzy
New dizzy cap
new spark wires including coil wire
new throttle pos sensor
new barometric press sensor
tried another MAF sensor..no change
new spark plugs
checked compression..all OK
all new injectors
Checked every rubber hose for leaks
Checked timing (IGN and Mech)
Battery OK

I am going to try a new ECU....

ANY HELP APPRECIATED!

Sounds electrical, have you checked all the wiring including ground/earth strap?

Fuel filter?

Mats: Looked over the main grounds and checked them. they seem fine....just went out and did some more work cause this is driving me crazy!

Changed:
3.0 computer
fuel filter
coil
ignition unit under coil

NO EFFECT...

problem is more apparent after a hard turn ...right or left..or after acceleration....

There is gas in the tank and guage works...might be some bad ground or wire like you say..man I don't feel like looking for it! It's almost like air is geting into the fuel system after a hard turn, but I already changed all the fuel lines and just checked for leaks...

Did you move the Air Meter?

what do you mean Mats....did I play with the air meter settings? No

It is stock 3.0 components...I have two air flow meters and problem unchanged with both..

air meter in standard location

How about checking your A/F? Maybe you will find that it runs at 16:1 between 3000-5000 rpm. Hooking up a voltmeter to the O2 sensor is good enough.

vac lines OK, especially checked one to the fuel press reg

Switched in two diff fuel press regs, no change

WILL check O2 sens ....I have generic stoich meter!

when you changed the ECU did you also change the coil controler (advance unit)? it is the small box somewhere next to the ECU.

guessing that you have a Milano wiring setup.

Check the spark plugs.... if the plugs you are using have the threaded top with the bayonet adapter screwed on check that the adapters are tight. Use pliers. If these little bits get loose you can get a miss that is not otherwise obvious. Don't ask me how I know this one.

2zig: I checked for the loose plug tip...all tight
sly: I know the box you are writing about..I just can't find it Someone else put the harness in before I got the car. ..I do have a spare in case I do find it...

Tahnks guys...it is probably some loose wire somewhere and may indeed have to do with the spark box.

Interestingly, My wiring harness is a combination of 3.0/Milano and 2.5/GTV6 technology. I have the 2.5 spark control and fuse box, 3.0 computer, and a few jumpers and splices here and there to make it all work..(It came to me like this...)

My problem is that I have only one 2.5 spark box and at least three 3.0/Milano spark boxes, so no way to test another box....

I have Milano harness and fusebox, but no way do I feel like replacing everything..

Soooooo....ANYONE INTERESTED IN A TRADE?? I will pay shipping

I think I am on to something regarding my problem

It only happens when the engine has warmed up...so start up and drive, no problem for the first few miles...then strange hesitation kicks in at about 300 rpm and goes to about 4500 rpm where it usually goes away

some kind of temp related ignition problem???

The usual bad temp warm-up sensor is unhooked in case you were wondering...

any help appreciated..

sounds a bit like ignition box, but you changed it for a spare right?
