While i completley gutted out the inside of my gtv6 i came across this hose which just popped out whist stripping out the floor matting near the pedals.
I simply got no idea what it is...

Yeah, pics' pretty bad. Is it your A/C condensate drain hose? I also think there is a drain for the front fresh air vents that's located under the dash. It shouldn't be the sunroof drain hoses as they go through the A pillars into the rear of the front wheel area behind the riveted cover plate. I have removed these plates and drilled relief holes at the bottom then re-attached the cover plates with SS screws. This makes periodic cleaning easier.

Thankyou Brook, thats it! I should have known, for i removed all the a/c hosing, compressor, everything, never to go back in, and that i should have spotted lol. Thanks mate.
I cant believe how much weight is with all the a/c hosing, compressor,
its ridiculous! That with the airbox gone, the 6kg of my turbo is nothing!!

Any idea what the A/C stuff weighs all together??
Sporting Regs. for the SCCA class I'm running in allow the removal of any 'optional' equipment. So if the weight savings is enough to warrent the loss of A/C, I might pull it at some point.
Thanks!

Hey Echo, will weigh it all soon, need to get some scales for where she's being worked on.

Well the weight with the compressor and all the a/c hosing
was close to 20kg. Around 18kg.
Also even though i didnt weigh it, all the old shag-pile sound deadener
would have been around 10-15kg. So already have taken nearly 30kg of weight out. Of course new sound matting going in, but will weigh nothing
compared to the shag-pile.

When I pulled the AC system out of my old GTV I weighed it, the big old iron Yorke compressor, lines, condensor and all the ironmongery to fit it weighed in at 25kg... and removing it made a noticeable difference to the way the car turned in and accelerated. I'd say its definitly wort removing for racing
