engine Cover Insulation

Hello,

I was wondering what Forum members have done to their hood area. Mine has been repainted but I can not locate an original one so far so I just have painted metal. Therefore, I think I need to go custom. My ideal one would be something that would deflect the heat so my hood does not fade, lower any engine sound, and maybe have a big Alfa Logo so when I open up the hood it will present well. Probally just a dream but I am actively looking.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Hi:

I have used Dynamat extreme - its too heavy for a track car but would be OK for regular street use. http://www.dynamat.com/

An alternative:

Light weight, but less flexible. Will probably work well on the back of the hood.

Cheers,

i have no experience with them, just found it while browsing. If you scroll down there's one for a GTV6. Would really like one for my car.

I'm using dynamat extreme too, fitted 4 years ago and showing no sign of coming unstuck, really quietened things down too, without making it too quiet. Good heat insulation too.

Hello,
I was wondering if someone installed the 928leathershop hoodliner. Does it work? Any comment would be appreciated,
Thanks and Regards
