Looking at it reminds me of how poor I am...!I don't think anyone is crazy or optimistic enough to waste this in their road car but I'd be happier than a fly on a turd just having it in the living-room! Droooool!

Too cool!
Difficult to find a gearbox without ordering a custom one methinks, lots of revs...

Come on, that is something you will find in the local supermarket compared to the DTM engine... :)

May have to put some more money over the trade though...

No, thats not what I want. What I hope to buy next year is a top-shape low mileage Maserati 424, '93-'94 model. I'll also keep the 1.8T though, to seriously play with.

JK,

A biturbo, that's interesting. I like the 424, but I prefer the more modern headlights and wheel arch looks of the Ghibli. My dream car for a long time is a Ghibli Open Cup, but if getting parts for the 75 is hard.....

I suspect that people who buy 75s also like the shape of the Maserati of the 90's. Especially the rear end. Speaking of rear ends I know you like most "rear ends" anyway. Apparently that's why you spend lots of time at the beach and have not completed your book ....

I'm going to check with my reliable source (MD)...

p/s just checked '93 4.24 has the updated headlights.

That Alfa donk is a serious bit of gear. I would LOVE to know its exact makeup details of how and why it develops the power that it does.

..as for JK's rear end. Well the mystery has finally been solved. JK is not a ventriloquist. I repeat, he is not. The illusion comes from his ability to talk through his arse...

Maserati indeed. At the rate you're blowing mula JK, you be lucky to buy a 1973 Corolla. :D

Nice to see the gang is still together guys!
MD, no problem making that hp with the particular engine. Some time ago I did a fictituous 'BTCC' 2liter engine in the simulator and got 296hp at ~8600rpm, close to the actual engines of the type. I suppose if I input some data for 2.5liters of comparable architecture, 400+ would be possible. I'll do one when I go back to work Thursday. In the meantime, speaking of simulators, I got mine (Perf.Trendsv3.5) to show exactly what my engine does, within 2hp throughout the rev range! I consider this important as it proves its capable of accurate predictions. However, there's a $hitload of data you have to know beforehand (like detail flow numbers). It even wants main and rod bearing dimensions among other engine details.
Anyway, have a look at my dream in the link below and click where it says XXL to see all pics:

Boy am I tempted, but there would be a war breaking out in the house here, what with the wife and my parents (yes, they're still around at 93 and 80)...'You have two used cars out there sucking money away all these years and now you got another used one? Whats wrong with the Hundai you have? Why don't you get rid of all that Italian junk and buy a new Hundai, they're real cheap now!!'

JK you poor bastard. Still living with your parents !

I vote we pass the hat around in the forum and buy you that Maserati. You deserve it !!

...only thing is you may not like that particular one that much, er, someone left 5kg of tuna in the trunk for 6 months and the smell takes a little to get used to..I suppose you could just drive faster to stay ahead of the smell. I can see that would work. :?
