Does anyone know if ARP makes bolts for the V-6 connecting rods?

I checked with them and they only list for the 2.0l four.

Thanks,

I called ARP about this once. They said if I sent them a bolt they would try to match it up to something they have in stock.

I just purchased new bolts from IAP. They are grade 12.9 and should be strong enough for most uses. The only problem was they were like $13 each!

that's the thing I'm getting here too. My engine isn't a race one so new stock bolts should be fine.

I'm building my 3.0 for the second time. :(

It's nothing special...164S pistons and cams, rotating bits went to the balancer today.

I had the oil pump separate. I found the lower about .062 apart from the upper and one of the 3 bolts lying in the oil pan. The rear-most rod journals were the first to loose oil and the back one (cyl#4) got welded to the crank.

I've since bought another crank and scavenged 2 rods from the 2.5 that i took out of the GTV6.

I want the car to be a fun and reasonably quick street car. I might take it to the occational track day, but considering that I haven't done that since 1995 or so...I doubt i'll see the track with it anytime soon.

Yes, those are 10.5 to 1. I got them with liners and wrist pins as a set from Borgo. The pistons were not matched very well for weight, but that has been fixed.

correction that's 10.0 to one

I got it together and its working well. I forgot to break the glaze on the cylinders though so the compression is taking a bit to come up to normal.

As I have the 3.42 gears in the 83 trans axle I find that the 3.0 spins up like the 2.5 but with more gusto. I think maybe the folks going to the 3.0 from the 2.5 and changing to the 3.55 gearbox (from the 4.10) are the ones saying that the 3.0 doesn't rev so well.

I vaguely recall Barry saying something about using ARP bolts for a chrysler v8 - might be worth trawling through the cattle-dog for something thats a resonable dimensional match.
