Engine Stand

Post by mmelton »

Where can I find an engine stand that will safely and reliably hold the GTV6? I see them advertised for small block Chevys, but I doubt that's going to do the trick. Who's got engine stands (cradles) for us, and what, exactly do I ask for?

Mel I have had perfect results using cheap generic type as seen in the image. You have to find the appropriate bolts with the correct length and/or adjust using washers to make sure your attachment points are solid and don't bottom out in the block's holes.I choose to keep a wooden brace under the motor when not rotating to reduce stress.
