Re: Need s some advise on converting my Alfetta gtv 4 to a V
after a few months of stopping and starting the project I have finally transplanted the v6 engine into the gtv 2.0l chassis
The wiring is all complete (I seem to remember an earlier post saying it was a couple of hours for an auto electrician which is correct in my case) the engine is running sweet as swish watch
my final hurdle is the throttle
on the 2.0l the pedal assembly is different to the v6 the v6 having a pivot and bracket on the bulk head (firewall) in the engine bay where as the 2.0l has it inside the bulkhead
therefore the cable is relatively shorter on the v6 than the 2.0
I haven't got a 2.0 throttle cable so was wondering how you did yours
this is the final major hurdle then its tidy up and mot time

Hi Daryl, have a look at the setup from a 75, the pedal mounts inside the cabin on its own bracket, so they have a longer cable that may be useful. Or use the whole setup if that's easier

Re: Need s some advise on converting my Alfetta gtv 4 to a V
thanks very much ben much appreciated
Ill look onto the 75 option
I could use the original gtv6 set up but it would mean a lot of whole drilling and a little alteration to the bulkhead and I'm sure there must be a simpler way
Ill post the results when ive sorted
Any other comments would be welcome

I had the same linkage type accelerator in my Giulietta, I used the 75 TS pedal box, plug and play, hugely recommend it.

chanced upon an s4 spider throttle cable on ebay
works perfectly keeping the 2.0l pedal assemble and a little mod at the throttle end

It may be that you already have a plan for this, but you will want to get the computer box into the passenger compartment somewhere. I have no idea where it goes on a right hand drive car. On the US market cars it goes on the right side panel just in front of the door.
That looks really nice!!!
I hope this helps,
Scott

well spotted
I am re-loacating the ecu to inside the car and as you quite rightly said it goes neatly inside in front of the the door and under the fuse box
