Hey Guys!

I´m makeing progress. The past week I´ve put the radiator back in place, filled up the oil, put sparkplugs back in it and finished up minor things.
So last night, after getting the oil in, I decided to turn the ignition on. Just to see if the fuelpump started humming and if the instruments were ok. (this is the first time in a year a battery´s been connected.)
So there I sit, with the key trembeling in my hand, scared shitless nothing will happen, not even a "click". Anyhew, I turn the key and the fuelpump starts humming! YEEES! This means I connecten the Motronic wires the right way. (I guessed...) :?

I turn the key one more notch and even the starter engages! This i more than I´d dare hope for...

Now i just have to adjust the ignition to make the first start attempt. :D Kepp your fingers crossed, I´ll keep You posted!

Adjust ignition? I thought you used the Motoronic from the donor car? You can't adjust ignition timing on a Motronic car you know. ;)

Congratulations BTW, Gotland Ring this weekend then? :D

And we have liftoff!!!

Friday evening everything was finally ready for the big moment. I shifted the dizzy 180 degrees and... WROOOOM! :D Runs like a kitten, right away! *phiuuhhh*
I had sort of prepared to spend the winter trying to figure out why nothing happens when turning the key!

But, she started and know I don´t know what to doo...

Tonigth I hope to take the first testdrive. Will report the result later...

I know what you should do, build a new extractor manifold and new exhaust. ;)

Took her for a spinn tonight...

Post by Seb »

The first test drive went great! Took her for a short spinn and she runs exelent. No vibations from the transvestite axle or the engine. Didn´t dare to rev her too high, but enough to feel the 3.0QV power. :D Runs smooth too...

Some short films then... Unfortunately the big one (1min, 10 sec.) is not yet done.

You´ll have to make do with these for now. Thanks to Mats for the help...
