Jumper settings

Post by SamW »

Sort of a silly question, but it has me stumped, in the instructions for standard GT, it says the with 2-7 jumper, you can control the shift lights, and the "same pin-out" can provide same fuel pump operation... What does it mean "same pin-out"? Does this mean pull the pin out, or does this mean leave the jumper across 2-7 pins? I am trying to have it control my fuel pump.

Thanks!

Mornin' Sam.

Same pin-out refers to the same terminals/wires that control the shift light. Pin out is an electronics term for connections/terminals on a circuit board.

Does it tell you which wires to run the shift light off? So I would assume you can run the fp off those too. This output would be programmed to come on x rpm below redline to tell you to shift. Well, try programming it to come on @ 150rpm - it should run the fp then. Does the o/p provide +ve or gnd? If gnd, then a relay will be needed.

Yeah, it means placing the jumper on that particular set of pins...
...to Alfa, or not to Alfa? That is the question...
