Before the track day I spent some time changing the suspension set up and geometry. I swapped my custom bilstein coilovers to my other car to try out some adjustable coil overs a friend built for me. The options on the rear were I could run coil overs or separate springs. At this stage it’s separate with rear springs supplied by Richard Melvin.

Interesting corner weights to compare to my standard original 3.0 road car at 1280kg vs front gearbox mount track car.

As mentioned on previous page the head gasket went on the last session of the track day . Was not to upset as it had already done two seasons of racing back in 2007 .
So it was heads off and reskim time. I thought while the heads are off a whole lot of updgrades needed to take place.
It was not the neatest of head welding back in 2007 but main thing it covered all the valnerable spots close to the water jackets.

Next up was new water pump, thermostat conversion from Jim’s latest book, a proper fan and fresh pipework.

I used to have sealing rings that sat on top of the sleeves . These rings had very sharp edges that bit into the heads to seal. Back in 2007 I had head gaskets made so I had these rings machined flat. Well so I thought . The were definitely not parallel. So now it was to make no rings giving max 0-06 protrusion coupled with one of my head gaskets I saved from 20 years ago.

Now it’s back to dyno to remap the new injectors . Probably only in new year. Some interior pics and that’s all. Comments welcome
