Is that still a rubber bushing I see on the control-arm  ( the forward pointing one from the upper controlarm to the chassis)? caster-balljoint helps a lot in steering feel...

Brakes are nice! 8)

I raced on the full slicks wich was very different. Car felt much more rigid. i struggled to find the limit and what happens when you do lose it . As I brought camber in from 4 deg to 2.5 deg I still had a higher temp on inside of tire. Inside 76 deg-66deg-52deg on outside. I started off with cold pressuer of 1.8kpa which went to 2.4kpa straight after race. With advice from Domingoes I dropped pressure for second race to 1.5 cold so the tire could flex more thus reducing inside temp which it did. 66 56 52. Major learning curve here. Some pics in pits to follow including Domingoes monstrous 24v widebody TT. This car sounds awesome when it comes past.

Evo2, Its a polyurethane bushing. I dont really find to much difference between that and the 105 series ball joint i have on other car. If notice in the pics the 'crowds' are always around the big TT. Brothers Paul (brake fluid in hand)and Domingoes(blue overall) are fine tuning the monster. Another pic of pits

And finally new lightweight doors have been finished. Still dusty and need light sanding with 360 paper. Im sure they weigh 2kg but will check.

more pics off TT. Such a spetacular GTV. Good to see there are three TT GTV race cars here. Would be nice to see them all in one race.
Even though pics of these cars is off this topic its directly related to Budget race car as these are the competitors in my class.

I envy you that club races you have there in RSA. Wonderful pics. And that white gtv6 of yours really stands out from the crowd :)

What rotors did you use at the rear?

Just when you think you are making some ground against the top cars they go and up the power again. This car has -+ 100hp extra hp than mine at the moment. Check out new throttles

Is that engine canted? (or is it just the angle of the camera?)

Oh, and re the competition - nothing ever stands still in racing. You're either getting faster or slower (because everybody else gets faster).

Pietere, rear rotors(discs) are cut from Nissan rotors.
Jason, its the camera causing the error. I got some pics of suspension of Daiwes TT 3.4tt while it was been serviced. Getting raedy for next race. Figured i can stomp my own thread(still related)

Fiberglass doors are not straight forward once their are out moulds. Needs few fours of sanding, priming, filling in small pin holes, cuting out locks etc. Not sure why I am going to so much effort as stickers will cover most blemishes. Then you start on making lexan windows. Trying to figure out how to get max air in inside lexan sliding window with taking to much stregnth out of the window. Pics are welcome on windows only for ideas.

To get air in through the opening you need a scoop. Just an opening will draw the air out.

I am very impressed with that clever and stealthy intercooler plumbing. I am also impressed by that front suspension. That was a lot of work!

Thanks Mats, logic always prevails. In that case I will rely air coming infrom front vents below windscreen and out sliding windows. Temp has been between 32 -36 the last few weeks so all cold air is needed. Most of my heat comes from the exhaust through the floor. Probably should put some lightweight shield between exhaust and floor. This is not really a problem on eight laps but a three hour endurance race could be more testing than one of Mats's saunas.
Greg, that TT above of Dawies has seen plenty battles, mainly tarmac rallies and suspension still strong even though I have seen it airborne on one special stage.
Doors now primed and locks fit perfectly.
