painting inside a race car
hey guys am in the midst of painting my gtv6 race car (in a few days when i finally finish the new roll cage) and am changing the colour to white. i just love white gtv6's. anyway i was thinking of making it easier on myself and painting everything the one colour even inside, so my question is has anybody had any problems on a bright sunny day with reflections. at the moment the car is matt black inside and have no reflection problems but im sure ive seen whit interiors before. just wanting to make my life easier by doing the thing all in white. my main concern obviously would be the arear directly under the bottom of the windscreen as i am not running a dashboard, and the bar that goes across from the rollcage from one side to the other, and was thinking if worse came to worse i could just paint those bits in black. any suggestions/ stories would be appreciated.

Patzo, my car is white inside and it looks great with no reflections, however i do have a dash board. My mates car is black inside with no dash and its much hotter from raking windscreens(in car park). It has a heavy reflection on the windscreen hence we aretrying to put a dash in it as it gives a better reflectance angle. Why i mentioned car park is that when you racing , you cant even put your hand on the tunnel as it gets so hot from exhaust so it does not matter what colour it is then. Just when you are parked in the pits , the inside temp is much greater. One of the guys has just made a fiberglass dash weighing in at 600grams..

ye with the turbo in the car when the interior used to be black it used to get boiling hot to touch. my main concern was just that the imeddiate reflection of the white onto the windscreen on a bright sunny day. i think you have answred my question though and i will go ahead with painitng it all white. you wouldnt happen to have any pictures would you?
