Awesome!

But you need a better gearbox, the 2nd to 3rd gear is not very race-like. The 75s have a nicer ratio.

In perspective this GTV gets driven to the track , has standard brake calipers, full interior and its mods are an RS suspension with a ported 12v motor and no LS . ( Coupling cage and braced clutch housing)This shows how good these cars against all those full track cars including the 105 series . Thumbs up for racing a GTV and beating the latest M3 road times . Oh by the the way great driving there . :D
Next stage get some cams and a 10/43 box , that 10/41 costing you 1.5 seconds as pointed out .

You mean 10/43 LS . It's from a 75 turbo as far as I remember . I think I had to convert the side shafts on box to the gtv6 ones . I still have new spare 10/43 box but that stays in the store - sorry .
There are quite a few giulietta in SA with that ratio ( no LS)and some alfetta . Call AK and ask as they were stripping out a super last week .

A friend of mine is using one of my Giulietta 1.6 gearboxes with the 75 TS limited slip fitted, works like a dream albeit the gearbox is very short for the std TS engine rev limit and power band. So using a Giulietta gearbox and fitting an LSD is very much feasable and it might be easier to find a Giulie gearbox with the right ratios over there.

10/43 is not from 75 Turbo, they had 3,9:1.

Ts has 4,1:1 and 1.8IE has 4.3:1. Even rarer is the 4,5:1 from the 75 1.6.

Shortest available transaxle is from the Giulietta 1.3.

75 2.0 carb also had 43/10.

I have the 4.56:1 on my car now and 4.3:1 and 4.1:1 prepped under the bench. Not sure which one to use yet. 8)

Since you now have the torque-multiplying-device on your engine i would look for a longer ratio compared to what you had on it. :)

I also added a torque robbing ratio consisting of 235/40-17 tires... Compared to 195/50-15. Makes a lot of differance actually, but I agree. Calculations are leaning towards the 4.3:1 though.

Well you can only do so much with 195s. I am using 225/45/17 which is worse than 235/40/17s and it's quite a bit quicker around some types of turns. Don't have to brake as much.
