Thanks Kevin.... great to see u in SA - pity about the rain (the first rain we have had in about 3 months)....the car was really flying I must say.... and Dawie did a great job!!!! - u are right about the brakes..... it now feels like I am trying to slow down an express train.... :twisted:

eventually did a 1:15.8, but I am DEFINITELY not extracting everything out of the car by any stretch of the imagination... never thought I would ever say this, BUT I need, yes me, need to get more seat time, as the car at present is faster than me :evil:

I was actually using 5th gear down the back straight yesterday..anyway will post some short video clips soon

Looking good , nice to see the spigot on spacer . . Which pads you using ? Looks like the box is EBC blue . Its least now you have the stopping power for that motor of yours . Just remember when they balance the wheels to put the weights near outside as they could catch on caliper .

Those front brakes look absolutely awesome, sure look like they work like a bomb.

So, just for interest, measured the front and rear track.... the values are as follows:

Front = 1688mm ----- original 2.5V6 = 1373mm
Rear = 1662mm ------original 2.5V6 = 1352mm

I has a "Small" problem with the front touching on the rear of the wheel arch when on full lock, but managed to resolve it with a little "man handling"

the above is measured at the outside extremities of the tyre contact with floor.......which is probably NOT the way it normally gets measured?

They say it better to be wider in front than back on the gtv6 but in your case with hat super powerfull gta motor I might want the back wider :D
I also had to knock the body work back in the rear of the front arch . I ended up putting some heat on it in order to hit the seam flat but you gotta watch you set the car on fire inside . You will loose the splash guard but that's not a problem for a race car in a rust free environment .
