Trying to keep mess to a minimum between the two cars. Previous page shows at least their was some good sunlight for a mid winters day to work on the cars.

Made and extension to pivot in clutch housing . Extended by 20 mm and then reduced clutch pin by 10mm and now it works perfectly . Finally got engine back in this afternoon started about 9am this morn . Realised its actually quicker to put the front mount box in with sliding prop .
Made an inspection hole with a rubber grommet to fit .

Been doing some testing with the front mount box car . Must say the gearbox feels excellent and somewhat foreign . I was trying to work out the balance of the car on paper. Here some weights of the changed parts .
119 diff and tube complete in rear - 57 kg ( damn heavy )
Vs
116 gearbox plus clutch in rear - 62 kg
Therefore lighter 5 kg in rear plus I have moved battery from passenger side to rear in my original race set up ( 14kg) so net result is 9kg heavier .

BMW gearbox bolted up front plus clutch - 46 kg ( but its mounting are in line with old gear lever plus shared to engine mounts)
Overall car is heavier by 41kg .
Hopefully will get some track time to see how it handles this week . The Ap twin plate clutch is a nightmare to pull off , its either on or off and no inbetween . So driving in traffic today was problematic , either huge burnouts or semi stalls .
Must still put the bumpers . Some pics at workshop today . Car has not being lowered yet .

Hey , should have come around today . Been doings some nice burnouts ha ha . Spent most of day doing wiring but still got a short somewhere in the indicators wires - aaaargghh .
I got caught in a road block yesterday on R55 . Now their are no electrics on the car but they were more interested in trying o fine my dad who was driving the 156 in front of me because he left his licence at home . Any way they let him go and I tried desperately to make smooth pull off without leaving black stripes with this clutch and extremely light flywheel . . :D

Yeah they were in the same place as usual .
Finally got all electrics working , apart from one headlight but that's simple . At least there are no shorts . There was an alarm in the car previously which was removed and the wires were never taped up properly .
Dash is all in . Put spare gauges in even though all is the Dash 2 display . The smaller holes on dash is for indicators, headlights, etc so at least I can pass MOT .
All the extra bits have weighed in 4kg . Re bled the clutch today through the 50mm diameter hole inside of the tunnel . Makes life so easy . Don't have to jack car up .

No unfortunately I had to take it out as Nelsons already had the conversion on pivot which Domi put in but in his case he was pushing the clutch to far and then it was touching the flywheel . On my engine I was just about to push clutch in and it was touching . Trust me I hate taking engines out so I did check thoroughly .

Just finished off front bumper with air ducts in for brakes .

Completed front spoiler , now starting rear bumper . Clutch still not bedded in yet , not sure if it will . Still either on or off .
Took the road tyres off and put the semis on today . Now I need to lower it some more to 13cm under front jacking point .
