ar4me wrote:Great video! Seems like a bit of brake lock up - enough to flat spot the tires? Congrats on the first place.

How did the newly converted 24v GTV6 do?

What's the spec on the 156 that semi-missed the start, but picked up?

BTW, cool to be able to see the chasers in the video (in the mirror).

Hey, met a friend of your there. Or at least I think he was, danish and dropped your name he did.
No tire locking, they squeal on the limit but (in this video, stay tuned for #2  ) never lock up.

I'll let Mats answer how he did himself, I honestly don't know. I have my hands full with my own crap during the trackdays, super focused, makes me forget almost everything that has happened during the day except my own racing. Quite strange.
The 156ers are ex works GrpN cars, some modifications to adapt them to our rules has been carried out though.

zackspeed: Yeah, it's a great track. it's challenging and fun and has some wide open parts for overtaking. It's great!

Barry, brainfade you say. Just wait for race #2...

Must have been Peter, Henrik, Jim, or Peder. No?

He didn't update his thread on www.alfapower.nu - hope everything went well for him.

Waiting for video #2... Oh, so all that negative camber, theoretically, I suppose it would hurt straight line braking some (of course, it helps tremendously in turns and getting a higher exit speed).

I think Moberg has some of his 156 videos on youtube.com . That's a 200 bhp Gp. N car with straight cut H-pattern gearbox? Pretty fast, handles well too.

And that very fast GT/GTV at the front, is that a V6?

Hey Zamani,

Read in the July Forza that your brother Nizam has a F355. That should be quite fun to drive?
I reckon they sound much nicer than the 360...... not as good as a 430 though

Nice! Almost made that pass under late braking stick, and then almost got the same car later at the same spot. One of the other 75s got him at the same spot - seems the best place to pass, and he didn't appear to protect the inside.

180hp and Bacci Gears dogbox if I remember correctly. The GTV up front has a 75 turbo engine. No V6 cars are that fast. ;)

If someone interested, I made a short version of video taken on the Brno race track starring my GTV.
The download links can be found on my site http://www.gtv6.hu under the VIDEOs section, or directly on this rapidshare folder: http://rapidshare.com/users/WOMGIJ

Sorry, I missed the place. So it isn't a racecar on a racing event. Just a VIP trackday, but the guests were not allowed to use the main straight, so the pit always had to be visited.

Sorry again.

Sorry about race 2 Mats. Always enjoy your video footage.Could see you were just that bit extra determined after your mistake, hek you could almost sense the desire you had to get as close as possible through the corner leading onto the main straight.Frustration and pleasure just mere seconds apart. :D

Tnx. :)

It was terribly frustrating, especially when I made the mistake to not close the door on the inside again... :x

Anyway, there was a huge sale the other day so now I have two cams. Twincam.
Watch this space for more/improved video or on my website.

Hey Mats, looks like you are having great fun. Wish we had a track like that one. They are closing down one of tracks to developers at the end of the year and Kyalami are killing us with entry fees so we are limited to three tracks. Anyway I am showing your latest race videos at our club next week which is going to be great entertainment for our local alfa nuts!
