GTV6 Homolagted weight

Gang, I need some help.
Me and my buddy Peter are building an '86 GTV6 for Targa New Foundland 2006. I downoaded the GTV6 grp 4 homologation papers from this site, and I can't find the FIA weight, both my French and Italian suck... If anyone have any info on GTV6 rally cars weight that's FIA approved it would be extremely appreciated! Group N or group 4 is what I think we're looking for. A production model track spec car's papers wouldn't suck either... The car is an '86 but I think we'll be able to use the 81 weight...and that's great as the '86 chassis is a smidge heavier, can you say lower center of gravity...
The regs for the class we're trying to fit into are a bit harsh. It's either FIA weight or the published std weight -10%
I'm trying not to be stuck with the published standard weight - 10%. That's just way too heavy.
This is where the 3.45L Dawie engine that JJ have been hinting about is destined. More info will come as we start building.

It's the blue car with the Zender kit, next to my red car we'll be building
Cheers, Nick

On page 8 of the homologation papers it gives the weight as 1140kg (2508 lbs). Is this what you are looking for?

Howdy,
might want to start a new thread on this. I'd be very interested in the process
of preparing to run the Targa. I have a goal to run in the Targa in 2011. I know
that's a ways off, but so is my car. Any updates on your progress ?
bests

Does any one have the updates homologation papers? I mean, in these papers it only reads of the 2.5 litres engine, so there must be homologation papers for the 3.0 engine and for the front springs.
Minimum weight for the 3.0??

Its very strange but there is no weight specified for the 3liter GpA car. For GpN though its 1150kg. For the 1.8T GpN weight is stated as 1060kg. There is no mention of coilover front suspension for either GpA or N, in FIA documents and updates up to mid-1989. I know that the 1.8T cars in 1990 weighed 960kg but thats all. GpA 3liters have been reported at 1000kg but I'll wait until this is verified.

I don't know which homologation papers are in this site. What I have is a book with 3liter+1.8Turbo homologation papers up to mid 1989, about 160 pages. These are usually sold in most countries through the national Automobile Sport Authorities (CSAI in Italy and RAC in UK for example).

Homologation No

Hi,
just found these pages while searching some Information in the web. I am from Germany, driving in a series called youngtimer (which maybe somebody knows). Im just driving an GTV 2.5 with the Homolgation no. 5855. I was thinking about driving next year with a 3.0 L GTV.
The only Homologation no. which i recently found was 265 for Group B. My question is, wether somebody could tell me the no of Group A or N, if it exists. Then I could asked for it at our local organisation (DMSB in Germany).
AFAIK the 3.0 GTV was built as a specialseries (dont know the exact word) of the 2.5, only 400 was built. If so, normally the 3.0 GTV could not be homologated in A or N, because 5000 pcs. are therefore normaly necessary.
If somebody could give me an information about the requested no, it would be great.
Sorry for some mistakes, my english is not perfekt

Hi Thomas
Only 212 GTV3.0l were ever made by Alfa Romeo. These were produced at the Factory in South Africa between 1983 to 1985. Only 200 had to be produced to meet our homologation rules in S.A.
Sorry ,I dont think this meets your criteria and I dont have any info on your series.
Cheers

Hi Kevin,
so maybe my info was wrong about the 400 pcs. But thats not the main question. You normaly need 5000 pcs for a homologation in Group A or N, and 400 pcs. in Group B. So if only 212 was built, and the GTV is surely homologated in Group B, that is maybe because it is not a single car (or model), but a sonder model of the 2.5. Maybe this is the reason (from the base model 2.5 were built more than 5000). But if so, there is also the possibility for a homologation in A or N.
Does anybody know?
Thanks in advance for any answer.
