Late model 3.0 75 starter Bosch part no ?

Post by kevin »

Hi can anyone tell me the BOSCH part number for the smaller lighter starter motor that came on the late model 3.0 75 . Its from 89 to 92 .
I have the part number from the earlier starter which is same part number as on the gtv6 which is 0 001 108 098
Anyone ?

EDIT : the above part number is for later starter . The bosch charts have given wrong info see page 3 .

I've been looking for one, for AGES. Vince Bachu has many 75 Motronic for breaking, but he doesn't respond to email well. When I'm in the UK I'll pick one up.

I live here in uk and I find it totally impossible to get any response from him . I gave up on that after numerous emails . Anyway moving along .
I found a Lucas replacement on this site . I'm wondering if it was only Lucas that supplied these for the late model . See this site

I have also tried Brise starters for a high torque race starter to see what price they come back with .

Good find Kev! I'll order it when I am there. I might go next year. and the year after. The one we should get is the smaller one. More room for headers and sounds cooler.

I bought a second hand one from Greece a few months ago. The Bosch part no is 0001108098. I thought the GTV6 starter no. is different?
There is a company in the UK that sells them new - They are located in Cheshire , UK . Priced at GBP 205.12

Brian,

Can you check if the starter is smaller than the standard one? It should be. Can you take some photos of it?

I'm trying to locate one first . Does this mean I can get my old trouble free starter back :D
However even better than the small starter are these hi torque race starters they make here . Bit pricy but well worth it .

send an email to info@alfanord(dot)nl

The guy who owns that company has been taking apart Alfa 75's for years and he might have what you're looking for.

Apparently if look for LMS329 starter you will find starter motors for the Alfa v6 and it looks small. Search results indicate its popular in the Uk.

Zamani,

I will post the pics tonight when I get home. I will put both starters side by side and you can see the difference in size.

Kevin,

The GTV6 starter has a different Bosch Part no. and I shall try to list it when I get home.

Cheers,
Brian

The old huge one is direct drive, the small new one has reducer gear drive. Here they are:

Does that smaller one bolt right up? If so that's a good upgrade!
