Possible Sale of a 3.0 12V

Post by 75evo »

I think my days with the 3.0 12V is fast coming to an end.

Looking for a possible sale.

Specs:
Rebuilt in 2004
Pistons: JE 10.5:1
oil control rings: Total Seal gapless
Main and rod bearings: replaced in 2011 (the ones installed in 2004 was fine, but I replace it every 7-8 years just to be safe)
Head gasket: replaced in 2011 (no leaks, but since I had the heads shaved had to install a new gasket)
Heads: shave a bit to increase compression, mildly modified by Dan Marvin in Berkeley
Intake runners and plenum: ported and bell mouths enlarged
Cams: RJR 590/82 cams 11mm of max lift, LSA around 110 degrees (for CA Smog), duration around 244? I lost the cam card.
Injectors: Greg Gordon's stage 2 for NA, good for around 250 bhp
Headers: CSC

Only used for track days, maybe 3 weekends a year at the most. 0 weekends in 2015 (no time).

NO ECU

Not sure how much this is worth, maybe $4K? I'm sure I won't even get half of my money back, but that was never the plan anyway.

A mechanic will charge you $2K in labor alone to rebuild. Parts maybe another $4-5K.

Open to reasonable offers. Engine will be available after August.
