With the oldest GTV6 nearing 40 years in service, a forum to document projects and restoration seems sensible.

75 Upgrade

Post by Weekend Warrior »

So after a couple of years of being on this forum I've finally worked out how to post photos so should start a thread on my little project, originally a motor swap into the GTV but its an early split dash so with values rising have decided to keep it original and have some fun with the 75 which i bought for the gearbox only.
Have acquired a 3.2, 4 pot Brembos, RS suspension and an exhaust from Jim,
met some really helpful guys from here that make it possible, updates to follow...

Hi , Weekend Warrior :) I have several conversion bits and pieces for that engine. I have made extras of these every time I did this conversion. Parts that I have are front thermostat conversion, bracket to attach alternator, oil filter attachments with threaded insert , trigger wheel( 60-2) pick up sensor bracket, flywheel spacer when using a 2.5 flywheel and aluminium plates laser cut for the plenum to make a tapered side plenum. Pm if you’re interested.
I really like the engine stand you have !! Super cool 😎
Here is link to few bits

If you need runners, I got a set from Beninca. Also a Siamese twin GTV6 plenum to mate with the runners.

Thanks Kev and evo, got a few local parts on order but sure I'll need some of your goodies

The stands have generated a bit of interest, did some for my neighbour with his logo, here's another colour scheme,

This project has stalled momentarily but for legit reasons, earlier this year I moved back into the movie industry after a long break, the production we were making in Sydney moved to Prague due to Covid and Netflix offered a great contract to follow!
Over Xmas we flew to Turin and visited Lingotto and Arese which has been on the bucket list for years!
Here’s wishing everybody a happy new year, stay safe and keep working on your Alfa

Correct, another project that needs to be completed, I also have a valiant hardtop with a 408 under the bonnet, great for leaving two black stripes in the middle of the road!
