Theo and I got a few hours in to fit the rear seat belt bar, seat belts and seats. As the Safety Devices roll cage is a basic it dose not have any seat belt bars. Following the MSA rules on seat belt angles the shoulder belts must be with 15 degrees of shoulder strap holes in seats. Good thing the GTV has already four chassis mounting holes under the rear parcel shelf. A little bit of welding and Powdercoating and some slices into the backboard it can all be fitted to be just above the rear seats which had to go back in. Note this is not a full track day day stripped out car ………. Yet !
Coffee in the Classic Alfa mugs and Biltong always on hand during work .

Some good quality seat belts fitted. For MOT purposes even though not needed on this age car we fitted Race Safety Accessories Seat Runner Kit with light weight Alloy Seat Side Mounts.

Kev,

What headlights does this car have? Looks nice, and possibly…bright?

MD, that’s why there are four of them.
Z I’m not sure but it’s in the previous owners build which I will dig up.

Hey Kev,
Is that a UK registration number plate standard issue or have you ordered that as an advertising billboard ? :D
Cripes, why are they so large ? Lot of parking attendants in the UK must need reading glasses I guess. Neil Armstrong could read that from the moon.
It takes up way too much airflow space.

...anyhow you seem to be having too much fun here so I thought I might put the handbrake on ...I'm jealous.

MD, the uk plate’s absolutely deface the car . Nothing we can do . I guess it’s so they can get you on laser from 800yards away .
We could get them stuck on the nose panel . Maybe that’s an option.
This car is fun but a long way from its final engine modification or should I say swap .

MD , thinking putting the Reg on the nose panel and see how that looks .
Some more testing today . Need to put Lambda bung in exhaust so can put the PLx unit it in.

Hi Kevin,

I am impressed with your dedication to these Alfas given the trouble you go through to just get to your workshop. Top job fella.
I notice that my name is on no less than 9 topic sets and this post will make it 10. Seems like the projects are dead in the water as nobody is posting sheit. Plenty of readers but no evidence of do-ers.

I have had my clutch out 4 times with a new version on every swap out but they have all slipped. Hoping to get a completely revised version this week which I hope will do the business. Trouble is when the supercharger kicks in, the clutch slips. Anyhow hardly worth yet another topic . It's just a bit of maintenance.

Cheers big guy.

Late Edit, 20th Oct 2023. A fully revised clutch now does the business. I couldn't just leave this hanging. Sorry about the intrusion in your topic.

Hi MD , yes it’s a long way to the workshop . Roughly a 150km round trip so always try go for the day ! Wish I had something closer by but that’s the nature of me renting in the UK. Anyhow it’s still a very pretty and entertaining drive which passes Goodwood depending on the route there are a few choices . I choose the ones with the best coffee places !
Speaking of Goodwood we had a track day last weekend and the car was absolutely superb !! Theo, is brother and son plus myself fitted in a total of 12 session of 15mins which was nearly two tanks of fuel . It was literally flat out on that circuit as sun was beating down at 30 plus degrees with semi slick gripping like hell!
We made sure the car cooled down enough before each session ! I will add some pics later !

Clutch slipping ??? Obviously paddle copper ?? Four paddle or fIve ? Have you got the correct lenght output shaft tube in ??
Cheers
