ABS Brake line thickness

Post by AlfaBeta »

Hi gang,

I'm going to be moving my ABS pump to a different location in the engine bay and I had a couple questions on the high pressure brake line that runs to the top of the reservoir.
The OD of the line is 0.2 inches, this is bigger than 3/16" but smaller than 1/4". Did alfa use a weird size or is this actually 3/16 inch line with a thicker wall?
Is there a specific wall thickness to use for the ABS pump since the pump is higher pressure or is this the same as the lines going to brake calipers?
Just want to do it right.

Thanks

Hi Barry,

Thank you for the reply, I'll be on my way to pick up the 3/16 " after work today!

Thanks
