Question regarding the movement of ABS pump

Post by AlfaBeta »

Hi gang,

I need some opinions regarding a brake job I'm going to do. I want to move my ABS pump/accumulator setup from the stock position to make room for one of Greg's superchargers in the near future. My milano has one of the skinny higher power odyssey batteries so I have room on the front portion of the battery tray. One problem, is that the pump setup is too high to mount completely vertical in the front of the engine bay. Does anyone think angling the system somewhat would effect the ABS pump performance? What about just the fact that I'm moving it further away from the reservoir? Just curious to see what you guys think.

thanks

Hi gang,

Well, I went ahead and moved the ABS pump. Everything seems to be working fine (haven't really run it through yet however). Just to remind everyone the plan was to move the ABS pump system by the front corner where the battery normally is to make room for future supercharger. Flaring the lines was fun (never used a "bubble flare" before!)
