My last big-brake setup (and that's it!)

As the title says, this is the last big-brake set I'll ever make so I'll post some pics. Anybody want any details, just ask. Basics: Brembo red 4pots (36+40mm pistons)with spacers, longer pins and modified crossplates (not shown), Wilwood HD 48-vane 310x32mm discs, own design bell+bracket,reshaped fluid pipe, DS2500 pads. The studs were pressed into the 10mm thick alloy. Weight of the entire corner is 16kg (35lbs) vs 13.5kg (30lbs) for the std set. A bit heavy, but I'm willing to live with it considering the performance.
For the record, this the 3rd set. The first was Deltone calipers on metal-filled and redrilled spindles, Wilwood 310x32 Ultralites and Rally Design modified alloy bells. The second was Brembo reds, own brackets on std spindles and M3 310x28mm M3 discs (reduced from 315mm) I have settled for the 310mm disc size because it just fits inside the Compomotive MO 15"wheels. In my 16" MO's, I could go up to 332mm size with the Brembo reds, but I like the option to switch wheels between the two 75's.

Jim, the splash plate behind the disk, it looks like I cannot mount them anymore with this setup, will this work on a street car
Nice one Jim, the alloy bell setup is what I was planning on for the TS with (widened) standard brembo's. And something similar on the backside.
Ps what kind O-ring material do you use (viton?).

A while back in this forum, a bunch of us went crazy over the Quaife ATB diff. 30 orders were needed to secure production and that figure was not hard to satisfy BUT, when the thing flopped when we started talking how to send down payments etc. Having learned a lesson then, I would not want to start on anything having to do with building and selling. I can tell you exactly what everything cost me and give you dimensions to build your own set. I can ask the CNC shop if he keeps a record of completed jobs so he can easily make hats and brackets if required. The Wilwood discs would be a lot cheaper in the US though and the red Brembos can usually be found in eBay between 400-450Euros+shipping. The DS2500 pads go for ~140Euros so go figure. Posting to OZ would probably cost a fortune as you're looking at ~10kg without discs.

Maurizio, it will be a hell of a lot cheaper if you fly down here for a couple of days, than me driving up there !! Don't you have an excuse for the family like visiting the greek islands in the summer??
The set will be on-car in about 2 weeks, but I'm more interested in finishing and installing the engine now. Before the brakes go on, I'll fabricate the the cooling arrangement patterned after the actual factory item: a disk covering the ID of the rotor fixed on the std 3 holes, with a neck for the flex duct ~2" diameter. Inlet will be where the foglights are now.

You could just use RX-7 FD calipers. I got complete schematic from Daniel. I just had the machine shop cut it up. Here a rebuilt FD caliper cost only US$130 with pads! Don't you have an FD yourself?
Also the FD's caliper can use the alfa hard brake lines. As for rotors, just use original Brembos from the supra (86-92 non turbo).
