Squeeeall

OK, my brakes in my '86, are squealing like a stuck pig during gradual/slow braking in stop and go. They also seem to "hang up," after braking. Yet, during fairly hard/hard braking, they do not.

Cheers

Could be caliper pistons not properly retracting or very old brake hoses,

You possibly have two problems.

Exactly as Zamani has said PLUS the sort of brake pad material that does that all the time due to its formulation..Ever heard it on busses or trucks pulling up when they squeal like sheit at the last few turns of the wheels?

Given the age of your ride, sounds to me like its time for a brake service treat.. :D

MD gives the best advice. Unlike medical doctors, his name actually stands for Mechanical Doctor :)

Kevin,

Insults are not your style. You are the cultured guy from Saut AAFRIKA. Keep it straight and your usual cool.
If you are looking for a new you, take up sky diving will ya? Remember to not be concerned with the new parachute style with all the holes in it, they are for guiding the glide path. Will come in handy when you are drifting for the crocodile pit.

Meanwhile I hope the Ghostrider has got the brakes sorted.

Usually for insults I leave it to the Greekster, he’s very good at it.
